Alicia Adamson
Alicia Adamson was born and raised in Woodstock, Georgia. She is the oldest of her parents’ children. She is a wife and a mother of 3 beautiful children, a 10-year-old daughter and 7-year-old twin sons. She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wesleyan College, an all-female college in Macon, Georgia. She continued her education and earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in Atlanta, Georgia.
She currently is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor. She has over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field with a specialty in Children and Adolescents. She has and continues to work around Metro Atlanta with providers as a contractor through her own business, MEA Family Services, LLC as a crisis psychotherapist. She is also the CEO and founder of her non-profit organization, G.E.M.S of Society, which stands for Gracefully Empowering my Sisters. She has a passion for volunteerism and community service and loves teaching the art of charity. She believes that God’s handpicked gift for her is service, and she tries daily to use her gift graciously.
She and her daughter are authors of their family’s book series, The Adamson Crew Family Chronicles, which is now recognized internationally. They use their own YouTube channel as a platform to encourage and promote family teachable lessons, family adventures together and family bonding. She has been a member of her home church, Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Woodstock, Georgia since the age of 12 years old. She continues to work in the church’s youth department and Christian Education as a youth teacher. She is a member of the Women of Grace and is also the leader of her church’s dance ministry. She is a member of the lovely ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc where she uses her gift of service and thrive to use her life as an example for others to follow. She always looks forward to the opportunity to spread the “Good News” and walk in her light.
